Here is what she wrote following her win:
“I AM HONOURED! This essay was written at the time I was doing the #openwriterschallenge3, late last year, and today, at an event I ushered in (Advocates Movement South-East Youth Summit), I was announced the winner. I tried not to smile too much, not to blush too much, but feelings as such, in moments like these, come naturally. Winning the Honourable Chima Obieze award of Excellence upon all the entries from students across other schools is no easy feat. Thank you Honourable Obieze, for sponsoring this essay competition. Guess what? He made me his research assistant too. I was flushed! This is me dropping by to motivate you yet again.”
